The results of West Virginia's primary election have been certified. In my race for Berkeley County Magistrate, the vote was 11,414 for me and 7,640 for my opponent. Thank you to all the voters who supported me. I am truly humbled and honored. I do not yet know when I will officially take office, but please know that when I do, I plan to work hard every day to keep our community safe and to do what is right and according to the law. I want to thank all my new friends and my old friends for all the support and confidence they have shown. That support means a great deal to me and I thank you.

As Magistrate, I will not judge my success by how many cases I can hear in one day, but rather did I do any good today. Was justice served? Did I help someone? As Magistrate, I bring the experience of a former police officer bailiff, special deputy and Congressional aide. As Magistrate, my priority will always be public safety, protecting victim's rights and providing fair and equal justice for all citizens,.
As a former police officer, bailiff, and special deputy, I’ve seen what violent criminals and drug dealers can do to a community. As your magistrate, I’ll ensure that law and order is priority number one.
My name is Liz Thompson and I've been married to Larry for nearly 30 years. Yes, I may be a bit bias, but I wanted to express my support for Larry's campaign and ask you for yours. Larry cares about this community, he cares about his family and he cares about yours. He will work hard every day to help make Berkeley County a safe and secure place for everyone. Please consider joining me in voting for Larry on June 9.

Would you please put one of my signs in your yard? I'll deliver and I'll pick it up when the election is over. Please send me an email - thompsonformagistrate@gmail.com and I'll make sure you get one. And, thank you for your support!
I was born and raised in South Dakota. I moved to West Virginia in 1990 to work for then Congressman Harley O. "Bucky" Staggers Jr. I met my wife Liz Thompson, we married, and I have made my home here ever since. I love Berkeley Country and hope to give back to the state and community I call home.
